Azerbaijani Students Will Give Presentation in Memory of Tragic Event
On February 25, Friday, 11 a.m., at the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy (Gedimino g. 44, room 203), students from Azerbaijan will organize an event in memory of a tragedy that shocked their nation on February 26, 1992.
The Azerbaijanis, who are studying at Vytautas Magnus University, will offer other students at VMU an introduction to a very important event of their country’s history, considered to be one of the greatest tragedies of the 20th century. On February 26, 1992, Armenians committed mass genocide in Khojaly, a region of Azerbaijan, and made it a day of grieving to the Azerbaijanis.
The presentation at VMU will be dedicated to the memory of people who died during the massacre and will offer everyone to acquaint themselves with a page from the history of Azerbaijan.
