Center of Foreign Languages at VMU provides students with a possibility to choose up to 23 courses of the modern and classical languages. Why should you learn foreign languages? Learning a foreign language assists in developing and improving communication skills, fostering sociocultural understanding, promoting graduates’ employability as well as academic and professional mobility, so at the same time you are learning the language and developing other skills.

Since its reestablishment in 1989, Vytautas Magnus University has focused on teaching English as a foreign language. Nowadays the center also offers advanced level course of English for specific purposes as well as language related culture courses.

Language teaching in the Center of Foreign Languages is supported by a modern well-equipped 'SANAKO 300' computer laboratory that provides excellent facilities for computer assisted language learning, most effective in improving the students’ listening and speaking skills as well as in raising their general interactive and communicative competences.

Teachers, who are qualified and experienced professionals, attempt to create a relaxed atmosphere in which students can learn a foreign language in an enjoyable and rewarding way.
