Why Study Here? The driving forces behind the Faculty of Social Sciences can be found in its values and priorities towards the internationality of studies, high quality of scientific research and special attention to the development of the students’ practical and professional skills. The key positions at the faculty are occupied by professors and researchers who spent many years honing their skills while reading lectures in the United States, Canada and Europe.
International Relations: The students here enjoy listening to lectures given by visiting teachers and professors from universities around the world. They also participate in international science and study projects conceived in the faculty. Student exchange programmes “LLP/Erasmus” and “Campus Europae” accept applications for partial studies and internships in universities of Europe, the USA, South Korea, Japan and many other countries. Currently, the academic community of the faculty is involved in 60 study and research projects financed by numerous institutions of Lithuania and the European Union.
Experience and Research: English-language social science journals published by the faculty (“The Quality of Higher Education”, “International Journal of Psychology”, “Vocational Education: Research and Reality”) all serve as a testament to the high quality of research and studies here. The journals are included in international scientific databases and attract many foreign scientists who do not hesitate to publish their research results here. The faculty also makes use of systems which manage the quality of studying and ensure high teaching quality.
