VMU to Welcome Honourable Guests from Japan
On Friday 8 March, 11 a.m., the VMU Faculty of Economics and Management (S. Daukanto g. 28, Room 402) will welcome Ambassador of Japan in Lithuania Kazuko Shiraishi, Cultural Attaché Takuro Mori, members of Managers’ Club and Prof. Kaz Uchida (Waseda University, Japan), who will hold public lecture “Business Management in Japanese Style”.
The high-ranking honourable guests from Japan are to meet with VMU Rector Prof. Zigmas Lydeka. The lecture on Japanese business management will be read by Professor Kaz Uchida, who is teaching corporate strategy and leadership at the Graduate School of Commerce at Waseda University.
About Prof. Kaz Uchida
Born in 1951. After graduating with a degree in electronic engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1974, joined Japan Airlines (JAL). While working, earned his MBA from Keio University. Joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 1985, becoming Vice President (Partner) in 1991 and Senior Vice President in 1999. Worked as the head of BCG Japan office from June 2000 to December 2004. Was named one of the world’s top 25 most influential consultants in Consulting Magazine (2006). Assumed current post as professor in April 2006.
