VMU Started Its 25th Academic Year
The country’s higher education schools have already welcomed large crowds of knowledge-thirsty freshmen. Vytautas Magnus University started the 25th academic year (since reestablishment in 1989) with the traditional events of the introductory week, which were dedicated not only to the first year students but to all Kaunas residents and visitors as well.
From 26 August until 2 September, the university invited everyone to public lectures, discussions, concerts and parties, which were all a part of the annually organized introductory events Įvadas į studijas (Introduction to Studies). Over the course of a week, freshmen are introduced to the university, its study system, and the community.
The traditional celebration of the new academic year opened the event series which is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of VMU’s reestablishment. The series will continue all throughout the academic year until the summer of 2014.
