Lithuanian-Origin and Diaspora Students to Gain Support
State Studies Foundation (SSF) reports that the competition has begun for the allocation of support for the studies at Lithuanian higher education schools by the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of emigrants and Lithuanian-origin foreigners. The application deadline is 20 February.
In accordance with the government rulings associated with the state support for the studies at Lithuanian higher education schools by the aforementioned applicants and the ruling by the director of SSF, the bi-annual competition (in autumn and spring semesters) may allocate two kinds of support: a scholarship and/or social benefit.
The world Lithuanians and foreigners of Lithuanian origin who are studying at Lithuanian higher education schools and wish to receive state support during the spring semester of 2014 have to register on the website of SSF before 20 February, fill in the application form and send a registered mail letter or visit the SSF with the documents confirming their social status or the status of an emigrant or foreigner of Lithuanian origin.
