Summer University in Thailand Invites Students
VMU students are invited to join the 21-day Summer University 2015 in Thailand ‘Entrepreneurship in Asia’, which will be held 9–29 August 2015 and focuses on Entrepreneurial Thinking & Acting and Cross-cultural Communication. The deadline is 9 June.
The Summer University is organized by the Bangkok University School of Entrepreneurship and Management, and Global Entrepreneurship Monitor GEM Thailand.
Within this academic graduate summer program, students will begin and end their course in Bangkok, but will also attend events on Ko Samet Island, in Pattaya and Jomtien, Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai.
The study program covers 45 contact hours plus a 3-hour final examination. The three modules are:
- Cross-cultural Communication,
- Creating Entrepreneurial Mindsets, and
- Meet the Entrepreneur in Thought and Action in 6 company visits.
Each module is awarded 1 graduate Bangkok University credit, which may translate into 2 ECTS credits due to the workload as calculated according to the EU ECTS User Guideline. Credits, grades and workload will be testified in a Transcript of Records. Working language is English for all classes; knowledge of the Thai language is not required.
Participants should be at least 20 years of age and at least 2 years at the university. This Summer University is open to students from all fields of study.
Application deadline is 9 June 2015. The tuition fee is € 1,950. Included in the fee are all accommodation, most meals, and in-country travel during the program. A group discount of 5 percent is offered to groups of 5 and more students.
As of 4 April 2015, 103 participants (61 female and 42 male) have been accepted. The come from 13 different countries, and study in 10 different countries at 38 different universities – a truly international Summer University.
