Libraries and reading rooms
Vytautas Magnus University library has accumulated 372,000 traditional documents and acquires 19,000-20,000 new traditional items each year. The University community has access to 48 licensed scientific databases, containing more than 414,000 electronic documents. Library users are provided with 536 workspaces, 174 of which are computerised. Working spaces for individual and group work and students with disabilities are also provided. More than half of the library stock items are available in the open stock, modern radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is installed for self-service of borrowing/return, items can be returned 24 hours a day, using the self-service return facility outside the building.
