Accommodation procedure

Vytautas Magnus University offers accommodation options in the dormitories located in Kaunas, Akademija (Kaunas District) and Vilnius for students of VMU and other higher education institutions; guests of current residents; University employees and other persons.

There are different types of rooms, which are designed for students or for guests. Residents, who are accommodated in the guest rooms are provided bed linen (sheets) and towels.

Check-in and check-out procedures are conducted by responsible officers of University (Dormitory) Administration, who enter the actual date of the check-in and check-out.

Check-in to the dormitory is allowed from 14:00 (2 PM), check-out must take place before 12 (12 PM). However, upon the request of a resident and according to the possibilities of the time, the responsible officer of the University (Dormitory) Administration has a right to change the check-in or check-out time.

During the check-in to the dormitory resident must:

  • have been signed electronic Agreement for Accommodation
  • provide personal documents, that confirms one’s identity

During the check-in into the dormitory, resident shall make sure that individual usage inventory and equipment it is undamaged, is functioning properly and is in a condition for safe operation. In case of any observed compliance failure, the Resident shall notify the University (Dormitory) administration. All complaints on the damage or malfunctioning will not be accepted later than 24 hours after check-in.

The resident shall check-out of the dormitory room at a specified time, indicated in the Agreement for Accommodation. In case resident is moving-out of the dormitory before this time – he or she must notify responsible officers of the University (Dormitory) administration at least 1 (one) working day before the intended date of check-out.

The resident shall pay all the fees to accommodation services, vacate the room and return provided inventory while checking-out of the dormitory.
