Spanish Culture Festival Primavera en Español Returns
On 3-12 April, Vytautas Magnus University is hosting the Spanish culture festival Primavera en Español. This year’s event is dedicated to the Spanish language and its significance in the world. All events are held in English and Spanish languages.
This time the festival is organized both in Kaunas and Vilnius. It was opened by a speech by Bernardo López-Ríos, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain, as well as Spanish songs, interactive games and tasting of traditional Spanish snacks, tapas.
Other events of the festival will include presentations of the Spanish language’s value in the professional world, guest speakers sharing experiences of work and study in Spanish-speaking countries, and introducing job opportunities for Spanish speakers in Lithuania. The festival will also offer “linguistic dates”, comparisons of Spanish and Lithuanian by foreign students, and a free Spanish primer by the VMU Institute for Foreign Languages, Español para todos, which will be organized on Saturday, 8 April.
