Soon at the Gallery 101: Lecture by Tim van Tuil and Creative Workshop

At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, the VMU Gallery 101 (Laisvės al. 53) will hold a lecture by sculptor, painter, graphic and performance artist Tim Van Tuil, and creative workshop.

In the lecture, van Tuil will speak about himself and his ouvre, an interview introducing the artist will be shown, questions provoking discussion will be raised (understanding and interpretation, "reliability of understanding", etc.).

The Dutch artist will also describe the transformation of himself as an artist and the origins of the sculpture project Frames, discuss various philosophical and ethical aspects of creation, the usage of light, the change of Frames into mechanical (static and kinetic) sculptures, immersion of the viewer and his becoming a part of the art work.

Sculptor, painter, graphic and performance artist Tim van Tuil graduated from the famous ArtEZ AKI Academy Of Visual Arts and became well-known by his works in the native Netherlands. Long travels around Europe and the Middle East have brought him to Lithuania. Currently the artist lives and works in Kaunas.
