Harvard University Graduate to Hold Guest Lectures at VMU
From January 9 to 16, the course of Tort Law at VMU Faculty of Law will be held by a visiting lecturer, Prof. Robert Leflar from the University of Arkansas School of Law.
During the Tort Law course, the comparative aspects of common law countries (United States of America, United Kingdom) and civil law countries (Germany, France, Sweden, Japan) will be analyzed.
Prof. Robert Leflar is working at the University of Arkansas School of Law and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His research priorities include medical law, tort law and product liability. Most of his research is related to Japan: he has published a book and numerous articles on medical law in Japan and the USA. His articles have been translated into Spanish, Italian and German.
The professor is a Harvard University graduate. He has work experience as a judicial assistant and a lawyer. Robert Leflar has also received the Fullbright Scholarship and various other scholarships for scientific research and studies in Japan. He has worked as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Law of University of Tokyo and at the School of Medicine of Keio University.
