Collaboration Opportunities for Argentina and Lithuania Were Discussed

On April 15, VMU welcomed the president of the Argentinean-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, Dr. José Sabaliauskas, who is visiting Lithuania together with a delegation of politicians and businessmen.

In the meeting, Dr. José Sabaliauskas emphasised his Lithuanian heritage by sharing ideas on how to expand the versatile collaboration between Lithuania and Argentina. Other topics included the possibilities to prepare events of cultural and scientific education in both countries, enrich the South American studies with cultural aspects, establish and expand the relations between VMU and universities in Argentina.

The meeting, organized by the initiative of the VMU Centre of Foreign Languages, was attended by the Vice-Rector for Research Prof. Juozas Augutis, Vice-Rector for Studies Doc. Kęstutis Šidlauskas, the Head of the International Office Zinaida Baltrėnienė, the Director of the Centre of Foreign Languages Prof. Nemira Mačianskienė, the Deputy Director Doc. Vilma Bijeikienė and lecturers of Spanish – Rima Sabaliauskienė and Miquel Puertas.
