Academic Soul Leading Group is a special form of youth evangelisation, seeking to evangelise, educate and support future builders of the society so that they are able to proclaim the Gospel in the face of cultural and religious pluralism and culturalise faith in Christian way of thinking in the daily life.

The goals of the Academic Soul Leading Group are religious leading of the studying youth, lecturers and other employees, participation in the university's life, the culturalization of the Christian message in various areas of cognition.

The Academic Soul Leading Group is collaborating with higher education institutions, student representative councils, students, employees and various Catholic institutions, organisations and movements, secular youth organisations that are not hostile towards Christian worldview and parishes.

On the initiative of the VMU academic community, mass is held every week:
On Tuesdays at 10.30 a.m. at the Faculty of Catholic Theology (Gimnazijos g. 7); at 5.30 p.m. at the VMU Chapel (K. Donelaičio g. 52-312).
On Wednesdays at 10.30 a.m. at the VMU Chapel (Donelaičio g. 52-312).
On Thursdays at 11.30 a.m. at the St. Michael the Archangel's Church (Soboras).
