The scientific issue â₁“Management of Organizations: Systematic Research” was founded by Vytautas Magnus University in 1989 and is published by Vilnius University and Lithuanian Institute of Economics. The issue publishes management and other scientific systematic researches, reviews important scientific works and events as well as discusses pedagogical and practical problems of management.  Young scientists seeking for a scientific degree publish their articles in â₁“Management of Organizations: Systematic Researchâ₁“, while this issue is a recognized scientific magazine. (The Law of Science and Studies No. 13, dated May 1, 1998, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania).

The issue â₁“Management of Organisations: Systematic Research” covers quite a wide range of subjects: methodology of management, analysis of organisational concept, interaction of organisation and microeconomic environment, theory and practice of entrepreneurship, organisational design, human resource management, methodology of administration, marketing management, strategic management, finance management, production management, operations management, tendencies of management development, theories of international business and its organisation, business globalisation.

The issue publishes the papers of Lithuanian and foreign authors; therefore, it opens extensive possibilities for the international discussion about the scientific problems of management.

The Journal is reviewed in:

General requirements for the papers

  1. The scientific paper should have a clearly indicated research problem. It should deal with a topical issue, give a solution to it and analyse scientific literature on that subject. The author ought to point out the research object, targets, tasks, research methods, to formulate well-founded results, conclusions and to end the paper with the list of references.
  2. The paper could be written in Lithuanian or English. At the beginning of the paper there should be an English annotation of the article - 250 print characters, followed by the keywords. It is also necessary to attach the Abstract in English with the volume of no less than 3000 print characters.
  3. The paper should be literary edited.
  4. The following order should be maintained while preparing the paper: name and surname of the author; title of an article; English annotation; keywords; introduction with a research object, target and methods indicated; body of the paper; conclusions; list of references; abstract.
  1. Every work cited in the text - notes, appendixes, tables, and figures - must appear in the References. For two or more publications by the same author(s) in the same year, list them alphabetically by title and use 2003a, 2003b. In the text, the reference to other authors (sources) should be indicated as:

In contemporary literature, organizational culture is defined, for instance, as â₁“an organization-specific system of widely shared assumptions and values that give rise to typical behaviour patterns” (Gordon, 1991). It has a significant influence on the performance of companies (Denison, 1990; Denison, Mishra, 1995; Kotter, Heskett, 1992; Cameron, Freeman, 1991; Marcoulides, Heck, 1993, and others). The best known and most widely cited model of organizational culture is probably that by E. Schein (1992).
