Who is eligible to participate
and how to apply

 

The total number of participants in the European Summer Academy “Reporting Europe from Home” will be limited to 20.

Member institutions from the “Nordplus Neighbour” project “InterLinks10 .Net” are free to send 1 or 2 candidates. The “InterLinks10.Net” network joins journalism education institutions in the Nordic-Baltic Region of Europe: Lithuania is represented by Department of Public Communications at Vytautas Magnus University (project coordinator) and Institute of Journalism at Vilnius University; Estonia – Department of Journalism and Communication at Tartu University; Latvia – Faculty of Communication Studies at Latvia University; Denmark – Danish School of Journalism; Sweden – Department of Humanities at Örebro University and Department of Journalism, Media and Communication at Stockholm University; Finland – Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Tampere and the Swedish School of Social Science at the University of Helsinki; Norway – Oslo University College; Russia – Faculty of Journalism at St. Petersburg State University.

Other places will be available for post-graduates and professional journalists, representing different media (TV, radio, press & online news portals) in Lithuania. Appropriate command of English language and motivation to take part in the European Summer Academy will be the main criteria according to which participants will be selected.

Participation in the Academy is free-of-charge. Travel and accommodation expenses, social events & excursions, all material for lectures will be covered by the sponsors of the Academy. Meals will be covered partially.

 

Deadline for registration for the Summer School is April 30, 2008. After May 5, 2008, all accepted participants will be informed by e-mail. Questions concerning the application and the application itself should be addressed to: esa@pmdi.vdu.lt.
